Day 1
• Arrival and transfer from the port or airport of Montevideo to the
Estancia hosteria EL CEIBO
• 4.00 pm: Arrival and accommodation. Familiarisation with the horses
and the team, who will accompany you during the ride5.00 pm :
(optional): Exploration ride across the wide landscapes of El Ceibo
ranch , recognition of the horses and saddles .
• 8.30 pm Dinner traditional barbeque and/or Criollo Cuisine .
• Overnight stay at Estancia El CEIBO

Day 2
• 8.00 am: Breakfast
• 9.00 am: Morning Ride across the fields to El Pueblo de La Cruz there
and back (approx. 15.5 miles), where we visit a “Cow Hotel” have a
picnic lunch and after a rest return to EL CEIBO.
• 5.00 pm: Arrive back at EL CEIBO
• 8.30 Typical dinner w/presentation of folkloric dances and music.
• Overnight stay at El Ceibo

Day 3
• 8.00 am: Breakfast
• 9.00 am Ride towards huge cattle risen lands , crossing rivers and
forest , riding along the shore of an internal river , have a picnic
lunch or an asado on the path .
• 5.00 Arrive back at El Ceibo
• 8.30 Typical dinner w/ presentation of Tango dancers.
• Overnight stay at El Ceibo

Day 4
• 8.00 am Breakfast
• 9.00 am: Ride towards Estancia San Pedro de Timote, 1st part
(approx. 11 miles).
• 12.00 pm: Picnic lunch, prepared on the spot
• 1.30 pm: We continue our ride towards Estancia San Pedro de
Timote, 2nd part (approx. 11 miles).
• After that, we return to Estancia El Ceibo in our bus, leaving the
horses with the gauchos.
• 8.30 pm: Dinner at El Ceibo and overnight stay at EL CEIBO

Day 5
• 8.O0 am: Breakfast
• 9.00 am: We drive with our bus to the place where we left the horses
and finish our ride to Estancia San Pedro de Timote (approx. 11
miles).
• 1.30 pm: Lunch at San Pedro de Timote’s fine restaurant
• 3.00 pm: Exploration ride across the estancia’s pampas (2.5 hrs.)
• 8.30 pm: Dinner in San Pedro´s restaurant
• Overnight stay at San Pedro de Timote

Day 6
• 8.30 am: Breakfast
• 9.30 am: Excursion on horseback across the pampas to a neighbour
estancia, where we visit the quarry of black marble, which was used
for John F. Kennedy’s memorial grave.
• 1.00 pm: Lunch at San Pedro de Timote
• 2.30 pm: Excursion on horseback across picturesque landscapes to
the neighbour Estancia “Venado Encato” of Mrs. Cecilia Gallinal, a
very productive ranch w/cattle, sheep and Criollo horse breeding plus
a cheese factory
• 7.30 pm: Dinner at San Pedro de Timote
• Leisure time, enjoying the estancia’s facilities
• Overnight stay at San Pedro de Timote

Day 7
• 8.30 am: Breakfast
• 9.30 am: Transfer to Montevideo (hotel, harbour or airport)
• 1.00 pm (optional): Post-ride lunch in the emblematic Mercado del
Puerto (not included)
• Gaucho and leather shopping in authentic stores and a traditional
handicraft saddlery, if possible (optional)
