The opportunity to photograph bears during their prime fishing season, spectacular fall colors, lakes, mountains, rivers and streams awaits you when you join us for seven days of photography and instruction at Silver Salmon Creek Lodge, the premiere bear viewing camp in Alaska. If the weather allows, a voluntary day trip to Duck Island to photograph puffins will be arranged. Since this is the salmon run season, fishing bears will be seen throughout the adventure. Gulls, fox, eagles and many other species of birds can also be found around the camp. Silver Salmon Creek Lodge offers superb accommodations and is surrounded by beautiful Lake Clark National Park. The guides are extraordinary and will do everything they can to assure us of getting the shots.
The trip begins and ends in Anchorage and includes all amenities, lodging, park fees and food at the lodge. Participants will fly to Silver Salmon Creek Lodge on a Beaver Float or Wheeled 206, leaving August 8, 2010 and returning August 14, 2010 (all flights are weather permitting).
Fishing is allowed for those who would like to fish, but requires an extra nominal fee and the cost of the license (further details available upon registration).
